Paint protection FAQ
Can I take my vehicle through an automatic car wash after PPF installation?
Yes, this can be done after 48 hours. However, to preserve the longevity of the film, we always suggest hand washing your vehicle.
Can I add a waxes or sealants on my PPF?
Waxing or sealing your PPF is an excellent way to keep it looking fresh! We recommend using silica sealants or opting for a ceramic coating to make it effortless maintaining your PPF.
Are there any special aftercare instructions for PPF?
After applying your PPF, we recommend coming to our shop two weeks after pick-up for a PPF check so you can keep everything looking perfect! If any edges lift or pop up on their own, please refrain from touching these.
My PPF is damaged! What should I do?
Sometimes damage happens. Light scratches will heal on their own in about 20-30 minutes at room temperature. If you have more severe damage, give us a call, or bring your vehicle into our shop, and we'll check it out.
How soon after installation can I wash my car?
Your vehicle will look its best when it leaves the Rinselab PPF service here in Vancouver, but we know it will be tempting to wash it up after the drive home. Please wait a minimum of 48 hours to wash your car after installation.
